Sotiropoulos comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man By Black Sabbath. George Sotiropoulos could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Serg Kharitonov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sotiropoulos fails to land the takedown.
Kharitonov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sotiropoulos manages to avoid it.
Kharitonov throws a right and a left that Sotiropoulos avoids nicely.
Kharitonov lands a nice shot to the body.
Serg Kharitonov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sotiropoulos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kharitonov sprawls well. Kharitonov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sotiropoulos gets slowly back to his feet.
Sotiropoulos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kharitonov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kharitonov throws a body punch but Sotiropoulos moves out of range.

Kharitonov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sotiropoulos.
Sotiropoulos shoots in but Kharitonov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Sotiropoulos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kharitonov misses with a looping right.
Sotiropoulos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kharitonov is fending him off so far but Sotiropoulos persists. Nope, Kharitonov circles away and we're back to standing.
Kharitonov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sotiropoulos rather than just go for the knockout.
Kharitonov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sotiropoulos sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sotiropoulos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kharitonov lands a really nice looking cross but Sotiropoulos seems unphased.

Oh Sotiropoulos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kharitonov fakes the body blow, causing Sotiropoulos to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Sotiropoulos goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
