The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallett blocks a head kick by Goddamn.
Mallett defending well as Goddamn loads up on a big left hand.
Mallett shoots in and drives through. Goddamn sprawls well.
Mallett closes the distance and clinches up with Goddamn, looking for a takedown. Mallett pushes Goddamn against the cage but Goddamn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Goddamn on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Goddamn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Goddamn looks to land a right hand but Mallett moved out of range.
Mallett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Goddamn's hands.

It looks like Jean Claude Goddamn has been cut.
Mallett misses with an uppercut. Goddamn saw that one coming.
Mallett throws a lazy right hand but Goddamn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mallett moves out of range of the body kick from Goddamn.
Mallett blocks a head kick by Goddamn.
Goddamn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Goddamn.
Mallett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Goddamn.
Good shot there by Mallett.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mallett lands a big uppercut and Goddamn crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Goddamn looks OK. Mallett waves Goddamn back to his feet!
Mallett blocks a leg kick.

Mallett drops Goddamn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Goddamn looks back up at him and smiles so Mallett waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Goddamn is rocked!

Mallett shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Goddamn is on queer street and Mallett is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
