Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Kurose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the ring accompanied by "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr.. Matthew Kurose has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Freddy Evans's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Matthew Kurose!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurose scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Evans dives in and grabs Kurose's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kurose pushes down on Evans's head and hops out.

Evans is really struggling to control Kurose but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Evans shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kurose manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kurose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Evans gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Evans stands and throws Kurose's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Evans wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kurose keeps working.

Kurose tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Evans wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Kurose tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Kurose gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Evans avoids the attempt from Kurose to control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kurose keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Kurose is trying to get back to his feet but Evans has full control of the position and if anything, Kurose has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Kurose changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kurose has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Evans to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kurose is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Evans pulls down on the head and he's put Kurose to sleep! This one is all over!
