Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nintendo Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Sylva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nintendo Takada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Sylva!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylva looks to land a left hand but Takada moved out of range nicely.
Nintendo Takada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sylva gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Takada.
A jab from Takada finds it's way through Sylva's defenses.


It looks like Anthony Sylva has been cut.
Takada misses with a body shot.

Takada drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Takada tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Takada has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Takada is trying to get an arm triangle but Sylva is defending well.

Takada is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sylva has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sylva tries to bench press Takada off him but Takada keeps the position.

Sylva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Takada wants to work for an arm triangle but Sylva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Takada counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sylva looks to land a right hand but Takada moved out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Takada.

Takada shoots for a takedown but Sylva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sylva has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sylva there as he acknowledges the shot.

Takada throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sylva's waist but Sylva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Takada off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nintendo Takada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left lands for Sylva.
Takada throws the left hand but Sylva avoids the punch easily.
Nice takedown defense from Sylva. No joy for Takada on that attempt.

Sylva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Takada to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Takada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Sylva manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Sylva is landing with some decent strikes but Takada is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sylva tries to control but Takada wriggling away.

Sylva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Takada is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Takada and Sylva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sylva throws a lazy right hand but Takada sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Takada lands with an overhand left.
Sylva takes one to the chin there.
Sylva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takada will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Takada cracks Sylva with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Takada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sylva tries to avoid it but Takada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sylva to the ground. Sylva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Takada steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sylva.
Takada is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sylva takes a jab right on the kisser.
Takada misses with a looping right.
Sylva misses with an uppercut.

Takada throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Sylva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Takada's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Takada's back!

Takada tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Takada tries to reverse the position but Sylva maintains control.

Sylva swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Takada is now in Sylva's guard. A big mistake from Sylva there, giving up the dominant position!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takada scores with a hook to the body. Sylva takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Takada throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sylva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Takada jabs Sylva right on the nose. Sylva blinks but takes it well.
Takada fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nintendo Takada is winning the standup battle so far.

Takada drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Takada wants to control from the top but Sylva keeps moving.
Takada cracks Sylva with a solid left hand.
Takada is looking to work some ground and pound but Sylva has wrist control.
Takada working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Takada is in close to Sylva's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Sylva is rocked!
Takada lands a strong strike to the head of Sylva. That's dazed him! Takada looking to finish here. Sylva is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Takada lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
