Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and g volk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "Shake 'Em On Down" by RL Burnside. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
volk buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
volk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Evans scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Evans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Evans trying to control the action but volk is working from the bottom.
Evans not doing much here.
Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Evans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed volk's head.

Evans stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Evans forces volk back against the cage and clinches.

volk breaks from the clinch.

Evans closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

volk tries to escape back to his feet but Evans has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got volk's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! volk is tapping! Evans saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
