Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripper has chosen The Odorants - This Night as his entrance music. Jack Ripper will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ripper avoids the head kick by Frost.
Frost misses with a wild combination.
Ripper misses with a combination
and Frost counters with a nice uppercut.
Ripper will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Frost fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Ripper closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Frost is trying to drag Ripper to the mat but Ripper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Frost doesn't manage to clinch there - Ripper circles away.

Frost scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frost is breathing heavily.
Ripper is trying to maintain the position but Frost is very close to passing his half guard.
Ripper works his way to full guard. Good work.
Frost wants to get up but he can't break Ripper's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ripper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Frost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Frost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ripper controls Frost momentarily but Frost frees himself.

Ripper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Frost looking to sit in guard and control but Ripper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Frost is staying active underneath Ripper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ripper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ripper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frost keeps working.

Ripper connects with a solid leg kick.
Ripper ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Frost swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Frost showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ripper.
Jack Ripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frost takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ripper works the jab nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Frost counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ripper tries to clinch up.
Ripper keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Frost tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ripper swivels and escapes.
Ripper tests Frost's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Frost looks for the body kick but Ripper saw that one coming.
Ripper fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Frost.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ripper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ripper moves into the clinch successfully.
Frost takes a knee right on the jaw!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ripper moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

A slapping leg kick lands for Ripper.

Ripper scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Frost crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ripper - the referee stops the clock and Frost gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ripper. Frost manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ripper lets loose with a powerful body kick. Frost will feel that in the morning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ripper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Frost swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ripper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ripper drops Frost with a big left hand! Frost is injured, injured bad! Ripper jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
