PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Hartford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J G (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billy Hartford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, J G!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

G looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

G is looking for a kimura but Hartford is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for G to get the leverage.
Hartford is looking to improve his position.
G is nestled in close to Hartford, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
G sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hartford defending well though.
Hartford won't allow G to pass to mount.

G is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hartford defends it well.
Hartford wants to control but G is keeping busy and won't allow it.
G with the ground and pound but Hartford uses the opportunity to regain guard.
G looking to pass the guard.
Hartford looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hartford will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hartford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but G moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hartford thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on G if he has to take too many more of those.
Hartford drops G with a beautiful combination! G stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hartford is looking for the KO!

G is rocked!
Hartford ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
G is still on wobbly legs! Can Hartford finish him?
G looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hartford throws an overhand right that drops G like a sack of potatoes! Hartford dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
