Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JM CQ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rudy Rudolph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JM CQ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rudy Rudolph!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudolph shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rudolph bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

CQ can't do much from the bottom here.
CQ is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Rudolph has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
CQ is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

CQ wants to improve his position but Rudolph is controlling well.

Rudolph wants to take a breather but CQ is having none of it.
CQ wants to control but Rudolph is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rudolph forces CQ back against the cage and clinches.

CQ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rudolph shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. CQ is trying to defend but Rudolph finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

CQ is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rudolph pulls his head out easily.

Rudolph is looking for a kimura but CQ is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rudolph to get the leverage.
CQ is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

CQ closes the distance and clinches.

Rudolph pulls guard.

Rudolph looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

CQ postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
CQ keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rudolph's head.

Rudolph is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
CQ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rudolph works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Rudolph fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. CQ sprawls well initially but Rudolph persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
