Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uroku Ikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tricta Phan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tricta Phan!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Phan blocks a jab.
Ikki throws a right hand that Phan ducks under and follows up with a left that Phan also avoids with ease.
Ikki misses with a series of wild punches.
Ikki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Phan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Phan misses with a takedown attempt - Ikki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Phan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Phan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ikki pinned against the cage. Ikki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Uroku Ikki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tricta Phan.

Phan has gone for a leg lock! Ikki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Phan's guard.

Phan has his foot on Ikki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ikki works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Phan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
