Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Suk Spartakus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Ruoska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruoska has chosen Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the devil as his entrance music. Suk Spartakus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Suk Spartakus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauri Ruoska!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartakus scores with a jab. Ruoska acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Suk Spartakus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spartakus just misses with a punch to the body.
Ruoska bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Spartakus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A jab from Spartakus misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spartakus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Spartakus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruoska was well out of range. Poor timing from Spartakus.
A combination from Ruoska does no damage.
Ruoska throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ruoska throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A right-left combo lands from Ruoska.
Ruoska defending well as Spartakus loads up on a big left hand.
Ruoska closes the distance looking to clinch

so Spartakus counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spartakus with a flurry of punches that miss.
Spartakus is looking to work some ground and pound but Ruoska has wrist control.
Spartakus trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruoska is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Spartakus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruoska swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Spartakus tries to stand but Ruoska is controlling from the bottom.
Ruoska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ruoska trying to keep a closed guard but Spartakus is proving a slippery customer.
Ruoska lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Spartakus!

Ruoska working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Spartakus working to try and regain half guard.
Ruoska takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Spartakus wants to control but Ruoska is having none of it.
Spartakus is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Ruoska takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ruoska looking to control but Spartakus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Ruoska is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Spartakus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Spartakus shrugs it off.
Ruoska thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Spartakus wants to get back to his feet.
Ruoska landing strikes from the mount and Spartakus is in trouble!

Ruoska prevents Spartakus from getting the reversal.
Spartakus wants to get back to his feet.
Spartakus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spartakus tries to get out of the position.

Ruoska working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Ruoska fails to move to back control.
Ruoska looks gassed!
Ruoska avoids the attempt from Spartakus to control.
Ruoska raining down shots from the mount!

Spartakus defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ruoska.
BOOM! Ruoska connects with a massive shot to the dome!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Spartakus tries to reverse the position but Ruoska maintains control.

Ruoska is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Spartakus gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Spartakus lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Spartakus is just content to waste time from the top position. Ruoska takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Spartakus throws and elbow that misses. Ruoska uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Spartakus's guard. Nice move by Ruoska!
Spartakus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ruoska sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Spartakus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mauri Ruoska will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ruoska swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Spartakus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ruoska.
Ruoska connects with a single shot there.
A swing and a miss from Spartakus.
Both fighters circling a little - Ruoska finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Ruoska tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spartakus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ruoska tries to clinch there but Spartakus circles away.
Spartakus takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Spartakus takes a swing at Ruoska's ribcage but misses.
Ruoska throws a nice looking combination but Spartakus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ruoska fails with an attempt to clinch.
Spartakus shoots in but Ruoska avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Ruoska as he connects with a hook.
Spartakus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ruoska to score with a decent uppercut.
Ruoska lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


Spartakus is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Spartakus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Spartakus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spartakus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Oh Spartakus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ruoska rushes Spartakus with punches - Spartakus moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Spartakus goes down! Ruoska follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mauri Ruoska!
