Ribeiro is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Racionais MC's - A Vítima . Kody Corley has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corley tries a head kick but it misses.

Ribeiro feints and as Corley raises his hands in defense, Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ribeiro stops Corley from standing up.

Corley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ribeiro moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ribeiro feints and as Corley raises his hands in defense, Ribeiro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ribeiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ribeiro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Corley is trying to defend but Ribeiro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ribeiro lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Corley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
