The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Requina as he checks the leg kick.
Roberts fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Requina checks it well.
Roberts doesn't manage to clinch there - Requina circles away.
Roberts wants to clinch up but Requina keeps it at a distance.
Requina shoots in and drives through. Roberts sprawls well.
Requina throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roberts's waist but Requina gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Requina off to one side.
Roberts lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Requina sprawling to the canvas. Roberts follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Requina hang on?

It looks like Patrick Requina has been cut.
Roberts content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Requina flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Roberts prevents Requina from improving his position.
Roberts seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Requina is looking to improve his position.
Requina missing with punches from the bottom.
Requina wants to improve his position but Roberts is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Roberts tries to clinch but Requina is having none of it.

Horrible takedown by Requina or perhaps it was just good defense by Roberts which made him look bad.

Roberts shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Requina but Requina pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Roberts lands with a big right hook that stumbles Requina - he's out on his feet here! Roberts follows up with another monster hook that separates Requina from consciousness! Requina falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Roberts stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
