Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Pires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pires comes to the cage accompanied by My way - Frank Sinatra. Hardy is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Both fighters look pumped up here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy avoids the body shot from Pires.
Pires keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pires comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hardy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pires leaves Hardy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Augusto Pires has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Hardy.

Jon Hardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pires throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hardy stumbling backwards into the cage! Hardy bounces back off the cage towards Pires, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pires lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pires celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
