The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Matthews to the mat! Matthews manages to get full guard.

Gunderson drops back looking for a leg! Matthews is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Matthews manages to kick Gunderson off! Gunderson jumps back into Matthews's guard.

Gunderson has gone for a leg lock! Matthews slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gunderson's guard.

Matthews gets to his feet - Gunderson follows without any prompting.

Matthews feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gunderson sprawling to the canvas! Gunderson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Matthews finish him?!

Gunderson is rocked!

It looks like Happy Gunderson has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gunderson is defended easily by Matthews.
Gunderson is still on wobbly legs! Can Matthews finish him?

Matthews throws a jab when Gunderson was well out of range.
Gunderson moves out of range as Matthews strikes.
Gunderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Matthews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Matthews connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gunderson to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Matthews!
