Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Peter Parker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer slaps away a takedown attempt from Parker, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Palmer.
Palmer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Parker moves in looking to clinch but Palmer pushes him off.

Palmer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Parker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Palmer is putting a hurting on Parker here, landing some big shots from side control.
Parker is looking to regain half guard here but Palmer keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker pushes Palmer away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Palmer gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Palmer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Palmer cracks Parker with a big right hand but Parker just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Palmer sneaks out the side door and pushes Parker away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parker pushes Palmer off and scrambles back to his feet.
Parker misses with a takedown attempt - Palmer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Palmer counters with a shoot takedown. Parker fights it but they end up in guard.

Parker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Palmer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Palmer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Parker pushes Palmer off looking to stand but Palmer dives back in and keeps control.
Parker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Palmer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Palmer's back!
Palmer is trying to get back to his feet but Parker has full control of the position and if anything, Palmer has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Terry Palmer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Parker closes the distance looking to clinch
and Palmer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Parker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Palmer clinches.
Parker trying to control the position but instead, Palmer has worked for underhooks and has pushed Parker into the cage.
Parker gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Palmer.

Palmer wants the takedown. Parker is fighting it off but Palmer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Parker's guard against the cage.
Palmer is breathing heavily.
Palmer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Parker's head.
Parker wants to stand up but Palmer is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Palmer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Parker wants to stand and escape but Palmer is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Parker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Palmer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Palmer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Parker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Palmer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Palmer wants to pass the guard but Parker is defending well.

Palmer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Parker's head.
