Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Padilha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyreke Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain moves in looking to clinch but Padilha pushes him off.
Cain lands with a nice body punch.
Padilha moves away from the strike by Cain.
Padilha shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cain as he jumps to the side.
Cain is looking to slow Padilha down with leg kicks.

Padilha tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cain just stands there and leans against the cage.

Padilha escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Padilha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cain throws a shot from downtown. Padilha moves away and avoids it.
Good leg kick by Padilha there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cain misses with a hook. Padilha ducked under it nicely.
Cain tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Padilha counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cain won't be happy with that.
Cain looks to move to half guard but instead Padilha has passed into mount! Damn!
Cain is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Padilha throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Padilha looking to control but Cain is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cain tries to reverse the position but Padilha maintains control.

Padilha has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cain tries to buck Padilha off but Padilha is having none of it.
Padilha scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cain to see if he's OK.
Cain is not content to let Padilha control the position.

Padilha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cain keeps working.
Padilha could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cain looking for a sweep but Padilha has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Padilha quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Padilha but it's paid off an Cain is forced to tap! Nice work by Padilha.
