Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chad Carlson Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlson Jr's entrance music is Muse- Stockholm Syndrome. A fine choice. Shamrock has chosen Biggie Smalls I'm Going Back To Cali as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carlson Jr.
Carlson Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from Shamrock, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Carlson Jr cracks Shamrock with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Carlson Jr connects with a jab.
Carlson Jr paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A left and a right from Carlson Jr both land. Nice combination.
Carlson Jr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shamrock.

Shamrock pushes Carlson Jr up against the ropes in a clinch.

Shamrock is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Carlson Jr pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Chad Carlson Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Shamrock.
Shamrock tries to score a body lock takedown but Carlson Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Shamrock wants to sweep but no luck.

Carlson Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A looping hook to the body misses from Carlson Jr. Shamrock does a little dance to reset his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Carlson Jr is trying to break the clinch but Shamrock is controlling him.
Shamrock drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carlson Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.
Carlson Jr scores with a nice right hand.

Carlson Jr throws a hook but Shamrock blocks it.

Shamrock dives in and grabs Carlson Jr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carlson Jr pushes down on Shamrock's head and hops out.
Carlson Jr connects with a looping right hand.
Chad Carlson Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Carlson Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carlson Jr throws a hook to the side of Shamrock's head but Shamrock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Shamrock tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Carlson Jr paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Carlson Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carlson Jr misses with a hook. Shamrock ducked under it nicely.

Shamrock has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shamrock there as he acknowledges the shot.

Carlson Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Carlson Jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carlson Jr wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carlson Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Shamrock is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Carlson Jr misses with an uppercut. Shamrock saw that one coming.
Shamrock fails with the takedown.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Carlson Jr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shamrock is controlling him.

Shamrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carlson Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carlson Jr is looking to stand up but Shamrock isn't so interested in that idea.
Shamrock pushes down on Carlson Jr's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Carlson Jr looks like he's trying to stand up.
Shamrock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Carlson Jr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Shamrock passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carlson Jr!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shamrock cracks Carlson Jr with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Shamrock looking to finish Carlson Jr with some ground and pound. This is bad for Carlson Jr!

Shamrock goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Carlson Jr turns into him and now he's in Shamrock's guard.
Shamrock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Carlson Jr is looking to escape.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Shamrock moves into full mount! Carlson Jr won't be happy about that!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Shamrock breaks from Carlson Jr's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Shamrock jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Carlson Jr manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Shamrock tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Shamrock connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Carlson Jr some visible discomfort.
Nick Shamrock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Shamrock tries to move into full mount but can't pass Carlson Jr's legs.
Shamrock is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Carlson Jr is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Shamrock is controlling him well.

Shamrock is working Carlson Jr over with some ground and pound from side control.

Shamrock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carlson Jr, who protects the arm well.

Shamrock tries for a kimura but Carlson Jr is defending well.

Carlson Jr throws Shamrock to one side and escapes!
Shamrock moves out of range as Carlson Jr strikes.
Carlson Jr cracks Shamrock with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Shamrock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Carlson Jr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
