The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kain. No joy for Course on that attempt.
Course shoots in looking for a takedown. Kain tries to sprawl out of it but Course keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kain manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Course closes the distance and clinches up with Kain, looking for a takedown. Course pushes Kain against the cage but Kain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robert Kain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Course.
Kain stuffs the takedown.
Course tries for a takedown but Kain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Course is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kain misses with a wild combination.

Kain lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kain.
Kain throws a leg kick but Course sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Course checks a low kick from Kain.
Course fails with a takedown attempt.
Course looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kain is fending him off so far but Course persists. Nope, Kain circles away and we're back to standing.
George Course seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Course looks gassed!
Kain throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Course shoots in but no luck this time.
Course fails to land the takedown.
Course slips a jab and a cross from Kain.

Kain lands a left and a right that send Course crashing to the mat, dazed. Kain thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Course is rocked!

It looks like George Course has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kain moves into the clinch.
Course is still on wobbly legs! Can Kain finish him?
Kain is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Course seems to have recovered his senses.

Kain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kain rushes Course with punches - Course moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Course goes down! Kain follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
