Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Bieksa!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Juarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bieksa wants to stand and escape but Juarez is having none of it.

Juarez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Juarez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bieksa's guard.
Well, if Juarez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bieksa wants to get back to his feet.

Juarez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bieksa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Juarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Juarez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Bieksa is refusing to be controlled, as Juarez sits in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Juarez trying to mount his opponent but Bieksa defends it.
Bieksa tries to roll over but Juarez keeps him under control.
Juarez trying to control from half guard but Bieksa is working away.
Juarez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bieksa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Juarez maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bieksa could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Juarez has cracked it and Bieksa is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Juarez!
