Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pate Perhana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krzysztof Soszynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pate Perhana has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pate Perhana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Krzysztof Soszynski!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perhana changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Soszynski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Soszynski takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Soszynski misses with a strike from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Soszynski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Soszynski throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Perhana decides to stand back up.
Soszynski throws a nice looking combination but Perhana bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Good work by Perhana as he checks the leg kick.
Soszynski misses with a body shot.
Perhana keeps the fight on the outside.

Perhana closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Perhana not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Soszynski wants to control but Perhana is keeping busy.
Ground and pound from Perhana.
Soszynski throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Perhana looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Perhana has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Soszynski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Soszynski is refusing to be controlled, as Perhana sits in half guard.
Soszynski is trying to stand up here but Perhana is controlling him well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Soszynski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Soszynski has hold of Perhana's hands but Perhana slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Soszynski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perhana's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perhana's back!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Soszynski connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Perhana to escape the position.

Soszynski lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Perhana.
Perhana looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perhana prevents Soszynski from getting a body triangle.
Perhana can't escape the position.

Perhana manages to escape to his feet.

Perhana shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Perhana showed some decent athleticism there.

Perhana is looking for a kimura but Soszynski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Perhana to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pate Perhana dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Perhana shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Soszynski as he jumps to the side.
Soszynski tries to clinch up but Perhana circles away and keeps his distance.
Perhana tries to score a power double leg takedown but Soszynski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perhana somewhat.
Soszynski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Soszynski scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Perhana closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soszynski did well to prevent Perhana getting side control.
Perhana seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Soszynski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Perhana wants to advance to full mount but Soszynski doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Perhana with a flurry of punches that miss.
Soszynski looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Soszynski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Perhana trying to control the position from guard on top but Soszynski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Perhana looking to sit in guard and control but Soszynski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Perhana looking for subs off his back but Soszynski has passed one foot through into half guard.

Soszynski decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Perhana closes the distance and clinches up with Soszynski, looking for a takedown. Perhana pushes Soszynski against the ropes but Soszynski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pate Perhana. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Perhana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Soszynski but Soszynski pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Perhana feints and as Soszynski raises his hands in defense, Perhana changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Perhana sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Soszynski's guard.
Perhana wants to advance to full mount but Soszynski doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Perhana postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Soszynski keeping full guard, as Perhana tries to pass.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Soszynski is on top in guard.
Soszynski trying to control but Perhana is working from the bottom.
Pate Perhana overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Perhana is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Soszynski is controlling him.

Perhana looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Soszynski gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Soszynski is looking to clinch but Perhana is avoiding it.
Perhana shoots in but no luck this time.
Some wild striking there from Perhana.
Soszynski shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Perhana counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Soszynski wants to stand and escape but Perhana is having none of it.
Perhana passes Soszynski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Soszynski is looking to escape.

Perhana postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Soszynski to stand up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Perhana misses the jab.

Perhana looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Soszynski!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Soszynski tries to lock up and control but Perhana gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pate Perhana dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Perhana misses with a takedown

and Soszynski counters with a single leg into guard. Perhana didn't expect that.

Soszynski is sitting in close to Perhana's body. Perhana has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Soszynski is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Soszynski is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Perhana.
