PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ma Chao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Black might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Indestructible. Ma Chao is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Black as Chao shoots in.
Chao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Chao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Black but Black pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Matt Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ma Chao.
Black loads up on a big right hand but Chao slips the punch.
Chao fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chao fails to land the takedown.
Black keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Black displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chao.
Chao closes this distance looking for a takedown but Black circles away.
Chao shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Black pinned against the cage. Black gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Black turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chao looks gassed!
Chao fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chao lands with a nice combination. Black backs away looking to recover.

Chao misses with a hook. Black ducked under it nicely.
Chao fails with the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Chao or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.
Chao gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chao wants to clinch up but Black keeps it at a distance.
Black doesn't manage to clinch there - Chao circles away.
Chao shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Black but Black pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chao closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Chao pushes Black against the ropes but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chao shoots in for a double leg but Black sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A chopping leg kick lands by Black.
Black throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Matt Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Black lands a high kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Whack! Black lands a heavy head kick that drops Chao. The ref tackles Black to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Chao was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Matt Black!
