The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonilla stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Johnson.
Johnson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Johnson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Hector Bonilla has been cut.
Johnson throws a one two combo.
Johnson lands a slapping body shot.
Johnson scores with a three punch combo!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bonilla tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bonilla somewhat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Johnson, as that shot connected.

Johnson drops Bonilla with a left right combo! Johnson follows him down to the ground into side control.

Bonilla manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Bonilla is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.
Bonilla is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bonilla seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt.
Johnson tries to roll over but Bonilla keeps him under control.

Johnson is trying to stand up here but Bonilla is controlling him well.
Johnson moves into full guard.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Bonilla is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Johnson pushes Bonilla off and scrambles back to his feet.

That has opened up Hector Bonilla's cut even more.
Johnson lands a nice hook to Bonilla's body. Bonilla takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Johnson stalks Bonilla and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bonilla's face. Bonilla staggers backwards, shaken.
Johnson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Johnson duly obliges.
Bonilla is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

Johnson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Johnson postures up and lands a big shot to Bonilla's brow.
Bonilla seems to have recovered his senses.
Johnson connects with a couple of short punches.
Bonilla has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bonilla is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.

Johnson looks to land a combination. Bonilla sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Bonilla has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Bonilla backing up. Bonilla nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.

Johnson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bonilla can do to turn this around?
Johnson lands with a big left! Bonilla is wobbled badly! Johnson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Bonilla to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
