Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Herro Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Okabi Rarorotieshima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herro Rice could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Okabi Rarorotieshima's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Herro Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okabi Rarorotieshima!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rarorotieshima bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rarorotieshima throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Rarorotieshima is looking to take a break and control but Rice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rarorotieshima tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Rice paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Rice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rarorotieshima swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rarorotieshima controls Rice momentarily but Rice frees himself.

Rice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rarorotieshima on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rarorotieshima is trying to hold Rice in close to prevent damage but Rice has managed to pass into half guard.

It looks like Rice is going to stand back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Rice connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rice keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rice digs a good hook to Rarorotieshima's body.
Some bone on bone action there as Rice checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rice seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rarorotieshima for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rice drives through and clinches with Rarorotieshima against the ropes.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Rice creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rarorotieshima tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rice swivels and escapes.
Herro Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Okabi Rarorotieshima.

Rice shoots in looking for a takedown. Rarorotieshima tries to sprawl out of it but Rice keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rarorotieshima manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rice lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rarorotieshima at a distance.
Rice fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rice lands a with a good body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Herro Rice showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rice has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
