Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Sanford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and THE HULK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HULK shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanford but Sanford pushes him off and we're back to square one.
HULK cracks a nice hook into Sanford's ribs.
HULK slips a jab and a cross from Sanford.
HULK tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanford sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten HULK somewhat.
HULK throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
HULK changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanford tries to avoid it but HULK manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanford to the ground. Sanford escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fred Sanford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of THE HULK.

HULK will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

HULK seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanford does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from HULK is defended easily by Sanford.

Sanford lands a left and a right that send HULK crashing to the mat, dazed. Sanford thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
