Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kana Takinoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kana Takinoshi looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kana Takinoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jordan Peters!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a head kick that misses.

Peters plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Peters stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Peters wants it to stay on the feet.

Peters is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Peters's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peters is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Takinoshi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Peters turns into him and now he's in Takinoshi's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Peters lands with a nice combination. Takinoshi backs away looking to recover.

Takinoshi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Peters. Peters obviously looking to wear him down.

Takinoshi cracks Peters with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Peters regains half guard, as Takinoshi was trying to land strikes.
Takinoshi winds up and cracks Peters with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Takinoshi is just content to waste time from the top position. Peters takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Peters wants to stand and escape but Takinoshi is having none of it.
Peters is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Takinoshi scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Takinoshi throws a strike but Peters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Takinoshi wants to sweep here but Peters controlling him for the moment.
Takinoshi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Peters is controlling him.

Peters gets to his feet - Takinoshi follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Peters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Takinoshi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Peters is trying to get back to his feet.
The ground and pound from Takinoshi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Peters regains half guard, as Takinoshi was trying to land strikes.
Peters is trying to stand up here but Takinoshi is controlling him well.
Takinoshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peters keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Takinoshi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peters pinned against the cage. Peters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Peters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Peters tries to land a front kick but Takinoshi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A left and a right from Takinoshi both land. Nice combination.
No luck for Takinoshi with that takedown attempt.

Peters misses with a head kick.

Takinoshi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Peters's half guard.
Peters wants to get back to his feet.

Takinoshi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Peters uses from the top position.

Takinoshi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Peters sprawls well. Peters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Takinoshi gets slowly back to his feet.
Takinoshi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peters sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Takinoshi somewhat.
Takinoshi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Peters throws a nice head kick!

And that's the end of the fight!
Kana Takinoshi showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Takinoshi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
