Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob McJohnsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McJohnsson has chosen The Best Around as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Aoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob McJohnsson!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McJohnsson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Aoki checks a leg kick nicely.
McJohnsson swinging wildly here.
McJohnsson throws a solid leg kick but Aoki takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McJohnsson.

Aoki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McJohnsson to the mat! McJohnsson manages to get full guard.
McJohnsson is looking to stand up but Aoki isn't so interested in that idea.

Aoki's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

McJohnsson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Steve Aoki just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
A slapping body kick lands there for McJohnsson.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McJohnsson but McJohnsson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McJohnsson is trying to buck Aoki off.

The ground and pound from Aoki seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Aoki content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Aoki seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McJohnsson for as long as he can get away with.
Aoki wants to control but McJohnsson is keeping him busy.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Steve Aoki just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
McJohnsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aoki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McJohnsson.
McJohnsson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Aoki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McJohnsson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Aoki fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Aoki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A nice leg kick lands there from McJohnsson.
McJohnsson scoring well with a low kick there.
McJohnsson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aoki paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Aoki misses with the combination.

McJohnsson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aoki, pushing him back against the cage.

Aoki has had enough of the clinch but McJohnsson keeps him there for the moment.
McJohnsson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Aoki has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

McJohnsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McJohnsson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but McJohnsson sprawls well. He's pushed Aoki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McJohnsson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steve Aoki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Aoki blocks a head kick by McJohnsson.
Aoki misses with a two punch combination.
McJohnsson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McJohnsson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Aoki performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Aoki passes into side control, despite McJohnsson's attempt to control the position.

Aoki stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Aoki avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
McJohnsson tries to clinch up but Aoki circles away and keeps his distance.
Aoki tries for a takedown but McJohnsson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McJohnsson blocks a low kick nicely.
McJohnsson fails with the takedown

and Aoki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Aoki not doing much here.
Aoki passes the guard and advances to mount!
McJohnsson tries to lock up and control but Aoki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
McJohnsson has given up his back here. Will Aoki look for the submission or keep pounding away?

I would not like to be McJohnsson right now.

Aoki is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

McJohnsson tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Aoki has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! McJohnsson is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
