Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fleischkaes Aktion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamaneto Funaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamaneto Funaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fleischkaes Aktion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kamaneto Funaki!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aktion displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Funaki throws out the jab.
Funaki shoots in for a takedown but Aktion shows good takedown defense.

Funaki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aktion pinned against the cage. Aktion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Funaki closes the distance and clinches up with Aktion, looking for a takedown. Funaki pushes Aktion against the cage but Aktion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fleischkaes Aktion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kamaneto Funaki.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aktion keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Aktion misses with a double jab.

Funaki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Aktion seems a little lost for a moment, as Funaki dominates the positioning.
I looks like Funaki might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Aktion is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Funaki asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Funaki tries to move into full mount but can't pass Aktion's legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Funaki content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Let's hope that Funaki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kamaneto Funaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Funaki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Aktion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Aktion gets caught flat footed, as Funaki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Aktion utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Funaki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Aktion is letting Funaki control him for a moment.

Funaki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aktion was covering up waiting for the punch and Funaki finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kamaneto Funaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Funaki decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Funaki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aktion defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Funaki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kamaneto Funaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Funaki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
