Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ivanov feints and as Liddell raises his hands in defense, Ivanov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ivanov has gone for a leg lock! Liddell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ivanov's guard.

Ivanov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Liddell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Liddell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Liddell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ivanov has momentary wrist control but Liddell slips an elbow through the middle.
Liddell passes Ivanov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Liddell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ivanov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddell has managed to get both his arms back between Ivanov's legs - danger averted.
Ivanov looks gassed!

Ivanov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Liddell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ivanov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Liddell passes into half guard.

Ivanov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Liddell pulls his head out easily.
Ivanov has hold of Liddell's hands but Liddell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liddell is trying to work for a kimura but Ivanov is defending well.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Liddell lands a nice short elbow.

Ivanov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Liddell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Liddell's back!

Ivanov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Liddell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Liddell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ivanov is looking to sinch up a triangle. Liddell throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ivanov's body to avoid the submission. Ivanov has instead reached around Liddell's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ivanov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
