Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Chronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukie Lulangos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lukie Lulangos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lulangos stuffs the takedown.

Chronic decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lulangos blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chronic.
Lulangos is positioning himself well to prevent Chronic advancing to mount.
Chronic missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Lulangos wants to control but Chronic is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Chronic thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lulangos to regain full guard.
Chronic is pushing down on Lulangos's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lulangos is fighting to maintain full guard but Chronic has managed to sneak the leg through.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lulangos throws a looping overhand right but Chronic ducks down to avoid it.

Chronic closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lulangos did well to prevent Chronic getting side control.
Chronic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chronic wants to stand up but Lulangos is controlling the position.

It looks like Lukie Lulangos has been cut.
Lulangos tries to roll over but Chronic keeps him under control.
Lulangos keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Lulangos works his way to full guard. Good work.
Chronic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lulangos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chronic throwing strikes from guard but Lulangos blocks nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Good leg kick by Chronic there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lulangos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chronic shoots for a takedown but Lulangos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lulangos gets caught flat footed, as Chronic shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Chronic is breathing heavily.
Chronic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lulangos is keeping the position for now.

Lulangos wants to get back to his feet but Chronic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A jab from Lulangos misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Chronic.

Chronic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lulangos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chronic tries to score with some ground and pound. Lulangos controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Lulangos is looking for a sweep.

Dustin Chronic dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Chronic feints and then cracks Lulangos's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lulangos down.
Chronic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chronic ducks right into an uppercut from Lulangos.
Lulangos lands with a shot to the body.
Lulangos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chronic tries to score with a low kick but Lulangos moves his leg out of the way.
Lulangos scores with a jab to the head.

It looks like Dustin Chronic has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lulangos cracks Chronic with an open hand slap.
Chronic shoots in but Lulangos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lulangos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Chronic's head backwards.

Lulangos sends Chronic crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lulangos is motioning to the referee to let Chronic up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Chronic is rocked!
Lulangos keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lulangos has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Lulangos lands a jab to the nose.
Oh Chronic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dustin Chronic's cut is getting worse.
Chronic gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Horrible takedown by Chronic or perhaps it was just good defense by Lulangos which made him look bad.
Chronic throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lulangos.
Chronic seems to have got his legs back now.
Chronic is looking to chop away at Lulangos's legs.

Lulangos lands a two punch combo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chronic shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Chronic is rocked!

Dustin Chronic's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Lukie Lulangos seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Chronic motions for Lulangos to come forward. Chronic throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chronic fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dustin Chronic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lulangos drops Chronic with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Chronic looks back up at him and smiles so Lulangos waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Chronic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lulangos sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Chronic's defenses. It connects perfectly with Chronic's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
