The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stewart tries to avoid it but Armstrong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stewart to the ground. Stewart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Stewart cracks Armstrong with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stewart keeps the fight on the outside.

Armstrong gets the takedown into side control.
Armstrong tries to move to mount but Stewart blocks the move with his legs.
Armstrong looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Stewart is avoiding damage well.

Armstrong is trying to get an arm triangle but Stewart is defending well.
Stewart tries to bench press Armstrong off him but Armstrong keeps the position.
Stewart throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stewart wants to control but Armstrong postures up.
Armstrong lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stewart down.
Stewart is trying to control Armstrong's posture but Armstrong avoids it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big strike lands for Armstrong! That's really hurt Stewart and he's turned his back - Armstrong keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Armstrong Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
