The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoba just misses with a punch to the body.
Rogers lands with a shot to the body.
Rogers fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rogers. Cordoba does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cordoba misses the shot to the body.
Rogers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rogers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Bett Rogers has been cut.
Cordoba throws out a loose jab but Rogers uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cordoba just misses with a punch to the body.
Rogers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed right hand from Cordoba misses the target.
Rogers misses the shot to the body.
Cordoba swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cordoba scores with a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cordoba goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cordoba darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A looping hook to the body misses from Cordoba. Rogers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cordoba throws a series of punches but Rogers avoids them all with ease.

Cordoba drops Rogers with a left right combo! Cordoba follows him down to the ground into side control.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Cordoba misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Cordoba has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Rogers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alex Cordoba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rogers misses with a low kick as Cordoba jumps back.
Rogers avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cordoba lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cordoba takes a swing at Rogers's ribcage but misses.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cordoba as he jumps to the side.
Cordoba looks to land a right hand but Rogers moved out of range.

enabling Cordoba to counter with a crisp jab.
Cordoba is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cordoba throws a lazy right hand but Rogers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rogers throws a sloppy body shot
and Cordoba counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cordoba lands with an overhand left.
Rogers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A left lands for Cordoba.

Bett Rogers's cut is getting worse.
Cordoba cracks Rogers on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rogers falls backwards against the cage. Cordoba follows up with more strikes that drop Rogers to his knees. Cordoba keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rogers! This one is all over!
