The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Balboa moves into the clinch.
St Pierre has Balboa pressed against the cage, preventing Balboa from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Balboa lands a nice uppercut.
Balboa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

St Pierre pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

St Pierre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

St Pierre has control of Balboa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Balboa regains control of the situation pretty easily.

St Pierre working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Balboa turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips St Pierre off and cradles Balboa's limp body as St Pierre celebrates with his corner.
