The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
simpson dives in and grabs Carlson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carlson pushes down on simpson's head and hops out.
simpson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Carlson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
andreas simpson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carlson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
