PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Quincy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris's entrance music is Natural Born Killaz-Dr. Dre . A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Quincy!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Quincy dives in and grabs Norris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes down on Quincy's head and hops out.
Norris misses with a low kick as Quincy jumps back.
Quincy tries a head kick but it misses.
Norris is looking to slow Quincy down with leg kicks.

Quincy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Norris circles away.

Quincy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Norris. Quincy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Norris takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Norris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Norris.

Quincy has gone for a leg lock! Norris slips out almost immediately though and dives into Quincy's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Quincy wants to hold on but Norris pushes him away.

Norris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Norris in particular looking to stall.

That's time! Norris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
