Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dimincio Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Toro Loco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco tries for a takedown but Ortiz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ortiz drives through with a takedown into guard.

Loco has his foot on Ortiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ortiz works his way back into a safe position though.
Ortiz chips away with some ground and pound.
Ortiz thows a big elbow that misses.
Ortiz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Loco not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ortiz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Loco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ortiz has managed to get both his arms back between Loco's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ortiz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Loco wants to stand and escape but Ortiz is having none of it.

Ortiz gets to his feet - Loco follows without any prompting.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Ortiz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ortiz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ortiz lands in his opponent's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ortiz stands and steps away. Loco gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Loco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ortiz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ortiz cracks Loco with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ortiz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Loco, up you get!
Ortiz throws a series of punches but Loco avoids them all with ease.

Ortiz takes the fight into the clinch.

Ortiz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Loco regains guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Loco is pulling down on Ortiz's head to control his posture.
Loco wants to get back to his feet but Ortiz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Loco has momentary wrist control but Ortiz slips an elbow through the middle.

Ortiz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ortiz lands a nice shot to the body.
Ortiz connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Ortiz has closed the distance and engaged Loco in a clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Ortiz.

Ortiz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Loco regains guard.

Ortiz stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Ortiz shoots in for a takedown but Loco shows good takedown defense.

Ortiz closes the distance and clinches.
Ortiz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Loco's efforts to push away.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ortiz prevents the takedown attempt.
Dimincio Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Toro Loco.

Ortiz has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Loco regains guard immediately.

Ortiz gets to his feet. Loco looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ortiz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ortiz tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Loco.
Loco pushes Ortiz off looking to stand but Ortiz dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
