PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dell Trotter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dell Trotter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown but Trotter shows good takedown defense.
Trotter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gonzales was well out of range. Poor timing from Trotter.
Trotter throws a lazy right hand but Gonzales sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gonzales is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Trotter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gonzales is aware though and is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Gonzales tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gonzales has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gonzales wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Trotter, who protects the arm well.
Gonzales connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Trotter some visible discomfort.
Trotter is not content to let Gonzales control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trotter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Trotter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gonzales off and has taken his back!
Gonzales looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Gonzales feints and as Trotter raises his hands in defense, Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Trotter lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Trotter Rushes Gonzales and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Gonzales is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Trotter Piles on the pressure and Gonzales crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
