The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Honcho manages to avoid it.
Honcho shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dickson as he avoids it easily.
Honcho works the jab nicely.
Honcho lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dickson at a distance.
Honcho looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Dickson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Honcho fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Honcho is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dickson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Dickson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Honcho has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Dickson is trying to keep an underhook but Honcho manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dickson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honcho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Honcho wants to control but Dickson is keeping him busy.
Honcho misses with a head shot. Dickson uses the momentum to regain guard.

Dickson wants to control the pace but Honcho is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Honcho is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Honcho bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Honcho won't allow Dickson to get back to his feet.
Honcho throws and elbow that misses. Dickson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Honcho's guard. Nice move by Dickson!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Honcho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Honcho will probably get the nod.
