Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Eight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Helio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Big Eight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Helio Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Eight has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gracie clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Gracie rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Eight seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Eight stalling.
Eight wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.
Gracie wants to improve his position but Eight is controlling well.
Gracie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Eight is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Eight prevents Gracie from improving his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Eight tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Eight sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Eight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Eight pulls guard successfully.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Eight has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Eight's legs - danger averted.
Eight is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Eight is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gracie looks gassed!

Gracie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gracie.
Eight trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Eight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Eight stuffs the takedown.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.

Eight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Eight is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Eight pulls Gracie into guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Eight slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.
Eight not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Eight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Eight tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gracie drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Gracie as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Eight screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Gracie! Nice submission victory there!
