The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson moves out of range of the strikes.
Some wild striking there from Belfort.
Belfort throws an overhand right that lands on Wilson's shoulder, as Wilson tries to avoid the shot.
Wilson shoots for a double leg takedown but Belfort sprawls well. He's pushed Wilson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Belfort keeps the fight on the outside.

It looks like Wade Wilson has been cut.

and Belfort counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wilson!

Wilson is rocked!

Belfort wants to finish this one by submission but Wilson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Belfort.
Wilson is still in real trouble! Can Belfort finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belfort stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Wilson seems to have recovered his senses.

Belfort seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Belfort gets caught flat footed, as Wilson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Belfort had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Belfort Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilson's back instead.

Belfort has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Wilson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Belfort gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
