Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Wiggums (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Foreman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Foreman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Wiggums!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Foreman!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foreman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Wiggums.
Foreman clobbers Wiggums with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
No luck for Wiggums with that takedown attempt.
Foreman bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wiggums's head backwards.
Foreman looks to throw the jab but Wiggums is out of range.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Foreman!
Foreman throws a combination. Wiggums tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Wiggums darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wiggums is thwarting Foreman's attempts to control the position.
Wiggums wants to take a breather but Foreman is having none of it.
Foreman wants to control but Wiggums is keeping busy.

Foreman looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Wiggums is nestled in close to Foreman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Wiggums is taking a breather. Foreman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Foreman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wiggums is working away from the top position though.

Foreman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wiggums pulls his head out easily.

Foreman is looking to control Wiggums's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Foreman avoid being mounted?
Wiggums drops an elbow to the side of Foreman's head.

Wiggums thows a huge punch but Foreman dodges it nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wiggums wants to take a breather but Foreman is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wiggums throws a nice looking combination but Foreman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wiggums looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Foreman displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Wiggums doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wiggums moves out of range of the leg kick from Foreman.
Foreman throws a series of punches but Wiggums moves out of range.
Foreman keeps the fight on the outside.
Wiggums throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Foreman to counter with a crisp jab.
Wiggums is looking to clinch.
Wiggums fails with the takedown
and Foreman counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wiggums thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Wiggums. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wiggums is breathing heavily.

Foreman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Foreman tries for a kimura but Wiggums is defending well.
Foreman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Wiggums sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Foreman decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Foreman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Foreman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Foreman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Foreman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wiggums doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Foreman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Foreman lands with a nice combination. Wiggums backs away looking to recover.
Foreman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Foreman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Foreman dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wiggums takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Foreman lands with an overhand left.

Foreman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Foreman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Wiggums counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wiggums prevents Foreman from standing back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Foreman is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foreman wants to control from the top but Wiggums keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Foreman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Foreman wants to pass the guard but Wiggums is keeping the position.
Foreman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wiggums wants to control but Foreman passes easily into half guard.

Foreman wants to take a breather but Wiggums is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Foreman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Wiggums counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Foreman's guard now.
Foreman wants to stand up but Wiggums is controlling him.
Wiggums looking to sit in guard and control but Foreman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wiggums on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wiggums tries to get out of the position.
Foreman trying to control but Wiggums is working from the bottom.

Foreman stands up and waves to Wiggums to follow him.

An inside leg kick lands from Foreman.
Foreman scores with a one two! Wiggums had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wiggums tries to score a power double leg takedown but Foreman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wiggums somewhat.
Foreman connects with the punch.
Ralph Wiggums is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wiggums avoids a punch combination nicely.
Foreman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Foreman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but David Foreman will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Wiggums stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wiggums wants it to stay on the feet.

Wiggums is stalling here. Foreman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wiggums seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Foreman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Wiggums knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foreman on the ground.

Wiggums gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Wiggums is wriggling around trying to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Foreman lands a big shot there that rocks Wiggums but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Poor strikes thrown by Foreman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Foreman throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Wiggums because Foreman loaded up on that one.

Foreman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Foreman is working for a guillotine from mount but Wiggums frees his head quite easily.
Foreman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wiggums is looking to escape.

Wiggums working to try and regain half guard.

Foreman stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Foreman stuns Wiggums with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wiggums swats away the attempt to clinch by Foreman.
A right-left combo lands from Foreman.
A punch combination from Foreman misses.
Wiggums drops his hands momentarily and Foreman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Foreman scores with a nice strike.
Ralph Wiggums seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Foreman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
David Foreman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

David Foreman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Foreman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
