Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Funku Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Holnick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donnie Holnick has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Funku Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holnick misses with a head kick.
Holnick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gracie shoots for a takedown but Holnick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie looks for the body kick but Holnick saw that one coming.
Holnick throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Holnick which made him look bad.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Holnick tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Holnick to the ground. Holnick escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Funku Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Holnick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Holnick looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.

Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Holnick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gracie.
Holnick is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Holnick wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.
Gracie thows a big elbow that misses.

Holnick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Holnick is tightening it up a little... Gracie has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gracie reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gracie taps out! nice BJJ there by Holnick!
