Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabi Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Claudio Filho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabi Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claudio Filho!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz clinches up with Filho and pushes him back against the cage.
Cruz pushes Filho back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Filho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Filho looks to clinch
and Filho takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Claudio Filho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filho takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Filho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Filho tries a head kick but it misses.
Filho tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cruz lands with a nice combination. Filho backs away looking to recover.
Filho misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cruz looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Filho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cruz is controlling him.
Filho looks gassed!
Cruz stands and steps away. Filho gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Filho darts in trying to clinch
and Cruz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cruz.
Cruz works over Filho with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz controlling from the top position.
Cruz stands and throws Filho's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cruz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Filho!
Cruz landing strikes from the mount.
Cruz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Filho looks a forlorn figure.
Filho is in a horrible position here. Cruz smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Filho is bucking up trying to escape but Cruz cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cruz landing strikes from the mount and Filho is in trouble!
Cruz looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Filho is trying to stand up.
Cruz pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Filho wants to try and get back to his feet.
Cruz controlling the position easily from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Filho taking shots to the head.
Cruz trying to control but Filho is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Filho is trying to stand.
Cruz cracks Filho with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cruz is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Filho is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Filho flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Cruz anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Filho and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Cruz slips an arm under Filho chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Cruz has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Cruz is squeezing on Filho like an anaconda would it's prey. Filho fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gabi Cruz!
