The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iwamizawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Saladin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Iwamizawa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Iwamizawa on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Iwamizawa throws a half hearted mid kick.

Iwamizawa gets the takedown into side control.

Saladin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Iwamizawa.

Saladin works Iwamizawa's body with a nice hook.
Bashir Saladin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saladin lands a left and a right that send Iwamizawa crashing to the mat, dazed. Saladin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Iwamizawa is rocked!
Saladin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iwamizawa.
Saladin closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Iwamizawa out cold! Iwamizawa corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
