Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carvalho kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sexy Chick. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Carvalho. Vieira does a little dance to reset his feet.
Carvalho closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carvalho lands in his opponent's guard.
Vieira wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vieira remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Despite being in the dominant position, Raul Vieira just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Carvalho counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Gustavo Carvalho will probably get the nod.

Vieira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Vieira is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carvalho to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carvalho shrugs it off.
