The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ydarush napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ortiz is looking to take a break and control but Ydarush is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ortiz in side control lands a decent elbow.

Ydarush manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Ortiz tries to kick Ydarush off but Ydarush keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ydarush is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ydarush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ydarush moves nicely into side control.
Ortiz is not content to let Ydarush control the position.
Ortiz is trying to work for a sweep but Ydarush has mounted him!

Ydarush fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ortiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ydarush. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
