James kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Big Mouth Strikes Again. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jakey Baws!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
James looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
James is trying to control. Baws wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

James is working for a kimura but Baws is defending it quite comfortably.
James tries to stand but can't do so whilst Baws controls his leg.
Baws is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
James sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Baws defending well though.
James takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
James throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
James missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Baws wants to control but James is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Baws slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
James with a flurry of punches that miss.
Baws looking for a sweep. Not yet Baws, not yet.
James throws a big right hand that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Baws doesn't succeed with the takedown
and James counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
James getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
James clobbers Baws with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A nice combination there by James.


It looks like Jakey Baws has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baws manages to avoid it.
James scores with a hook.
James scores with a sloppy right hand. Baws should have avoided that one.
Baws with a poor takedown
and James counters with a big right hand! Oh Baws is in trouble here! James follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kingston James!
