PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Keenen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Sepultura - Refuse/Resist as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Jack Keenen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keenen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Keenen closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Keenen pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Keenen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Keenen seems to have got his legs back now.

Keenen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Keenen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Keenen has hold of Diaz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Diaz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Keenen cranks the arm and Diaz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Diaz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jack Keenen !
