The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for ADAMS with that takedown attempt.
ADAMS fails with the takedown.
Nucka fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nucka misses with an uppercut. ADAMS saw that one coming.
ADAMS closes the distance and clinches up with Nucka, looking for a takedown. ADAMS pushes Nucka against the cage but Nucka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JOHN ADAMS. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nucka stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like JOHN ADAMS has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Nucka as ADAMS shoots in.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nucka looks to score with a jab to the body but ADAMS is just out of range.
ADAMS shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nucka defends it nicely.
ADAMS is breathing heavily.
ADAMS closes the distance and clinches up with Nucka, looking for a takedown. ADAMS pushes Nucka against the cage but Nucka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nucka throws a shot to the body.

Nucka cracks ADAMS with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nucka has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning ADAMS to stand back up!
