Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Axel Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim KATA!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose is looking to clinch but KATA is avoiding it.
Rose lands with a kick to the temple. KATA shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
KATA scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
KATA tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no KATA has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rose is trying to improve his position.
Rose is trying to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Rose's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
KATA tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
KATA throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Check out the look on KATA's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's one minute gone in the round.
KATA trying to control the position but Rose is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A cross from Rose lands.
Rose throws a head kick that misses.
KATA shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
KATA goes for an armbar but Rose turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Rose.
KATA looks gassed!
Rose is looking to stand up but KATA won't let him.
KATA really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
KATA can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rose controls the pace.
Rose postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
KATA looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rose trying to control but KATA is working from the bottom.
KATA has Rose pulled in close to control his posture.
Rose looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rose stopping the sweep attempt from KATA.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rose shoots in looking for a takedown. KATA tries to sprawl out of it but Rose keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. KATA manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
KATA gets the takedown into side control.
KATA wants to control but Rose is keeping him busy.
Rose on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
KATA trying to control the position but Rose is working away.
Rose tries to escape but KATA is in control.
KATA working the body and head with strikes.
KATA content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Rose takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rose tries to bench press KATA off him but KATA keeps the position.
Rose manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
KATA is staying active underneath Rose, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rose prevents KATA from improving his position.
KATA is not content to let Rose control the position.
KATA looking for submissions off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rose throws a leg kick which misses KATA's front leg but catches the back leg as KATA tries to avoid it.
Rose circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rose tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jim KATA seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
KATA looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rose!
KATA looking to finish Rose with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rose!
Rose can't escape the position.
Rose is in a horrible position here. KATA smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Rose is rocked!
KATA controlling his opponent.
Oh Rose is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
KATA is working for a guillotine from mount but Rose frees his head quite easily.
Rose defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from KATA.
KATA scoring with strikes but Rose is staying in there.
KATA lands with some strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
KATA is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rose can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim KATA dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
KATA closes the distance looking for a takedown. Rose stuffs it but KATA still has hold of him. KATA picks Rose up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. KATA slams Rose to the floor and that's really hurt Rose - he doesn't know where he is! KATA throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim KATA!
