The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mitriony circles away from the clinch attempt.
mitriony keeps the fight on the outside.
Kukula shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. mitriony defends it nicely.

mitriony gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
mitriony lands on the inside with an uppercut.

It looks like Makuku Kukula has been cut.
mitriony lands with a short punch from the clinch.

mitriony pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kukula closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming mitriony to the mat! mitriony manages to get full guard.
mitriony avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kukula throwing strikes from guard but mitriony blocks nicely.
mitriony wants to stand and escape but Kukula is having none of it.
Kukula is looking to advance position but mitriony has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Kukula can't escape the position.
Kukula tries to lock up and control but mitriony gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

mitriony stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
matt mitriony is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

mitriony rushes Kukula and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

mitriony escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
mitriony lands with an overhand left.
Kukula keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kukula is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kukula is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kukula is rocked!
